Pacific Coast Propane

FAQS

  • Propane is created as a by-product of gasoline refinement or crude oil. Additionally, sometimes propane is manufactured from natural gas. Most propane used in the United States is sourced and manufactured domestically. When held under pressure, propane is a liquid. When released from the tank, propane is instantly converted into vapor form.

Recently propane has gained in popularity as a clean alternative to gasoline. Many indoor vehicles, such as forklifts, use propane for this reason.

  • Not only is propane safe but it is also considered a clean burning fuel and has a long and excellent safety track record. Unlike liquid fuels, propane cannot be accidentally ingested as it takes a vapor form. When delivered by a well-trained technician, propane is an exceptionally safe fuel choice for your home or business.

  • Department of Energy research shows that it could cost nearly twice as much to operate appliances such as a water heater, cooking range, dryer, or home heater with electricity than propane. In southern California, where electric prices have skyrocketed in recent years, propane is a very economical choice.

In addition to the lower operating cost, propane heaters have an average life span of twenty years. Compare that to an electric heater system at twelve years.

  • No. Propane is a clean fuel listed in the 1990 Clean Air Act and the National Energy Policy Act of 1992. Propane is one of the cleanest burnings of all alternative fuels; new propane-fueled vehicles can meet the very tough Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) standards, and one model even meets the Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) standards. Propane is also nontoxic, so it’s safer for the home.

  • Pacific Coast Propane will work with you to provide training and maintenance following the National Propane Gas Association maintenance program GAS Check® (Gas Appliance System Check).

  • FULL: Your tank is considered full when your gauge reads 82% or above. Check periodically until it is time to place a refill order.

TIME TO ORDER: When your tank is below 20%, you are due for propane delivery to avoid running your tank empty.

EMPTY: This is how your gauge appears when your tank is empty. A pressure test must be performed, do not let your tank get this low.

This customer service is 100% better than the customer service I experienced with Amerigas. I look forward to a long and happy service relationship.

We HIGHLY recommend Pacific Coast Propane! Andrew worked with us to ensure our needs were not only met, but he exceeded our expectations! While we don't expect to need a fill immediatly, we will definitely call PC Propane when it's time to fill 'er up! Thanks for the amazing customer service!

I would recommend PCP for any and all of your propane needs. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with them! (And no, I wasn’t paid to say any of this).
